Welcome! You have been invited to follow this blog by either a student or leader of Salem First Baptist's Student Ministries. We are so glad you are here! It has been on our heart to have God move through our students in a big way, and we know that the main way to get that done is by having a body of believers praying for us constantly. Our goal with this blog is to keep you informed and up-to-date on prayer requests we have within our ministry, whether they be from an individual student or from the group as a whole. We want to thank you for your willingness to pray for us and the work God is already doing within the lives of our students.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

This week we asked our students: What’s the harm in a little peer pressure? We focused on pinpointing how we allow others to influence them in positive and negative ways. Pray that as our students wrestle with what the world is telling them, they would seek God and obey His word. Pray that as their friends might pressure them into things that are wrong, that they would stand strong in their faith. Pray that through this, they would influence the world, not reflect it.

For Our Ministry
Pray that student-leader relationships would grow as they do life together to mature in and for the glory of Christ.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- I could really use some prayer with my school work and with my family relationships.
- My pessimism. To realize the good things I have.
- Pray for stamina and strength thru the play season help me to keep my grades up so I don’t fall behind in my classes.
- Not feeling like I am connecting with God.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

And we are BACK! Thrive and Fusion started this week with a bang! Both groups spent a large portion of time equipping and empowering our student leadership teams. Pray that as we continue on this year that our student leaders would step up and lead at youth group - that they would invite their friends, lend their hands for service, and also be great welcomers at our mid week nights!

For Our Ministry
Pray that our students and leaders would experience the joy of Christ as they worship Him in word and deed. Pray that with thanksgiving in our hearts we would reflect Jesus in all we say and do.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- That God would use me as an example to my friends at school.
- Wisdom and peace in preparing to share my testimony for the first time.
- Keep focus during school.
- For all the stress at school and all the stress at home.
- Not feeling like I am connecting with God.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

Thrive and Fusion kick off a new school year next week! Our leaders are gearing up for a great year. Pray that as we launch, students would be excited and ready to invite their friends and proclaim the Gospel boldly in their schools. Pray for our student leadership teams, that they would come ready to learn and lead.

Pray for those students that will be invited this year, that God would be preparing their hearts and pursuing them. One of our goals this year is growth - pray we see God grow our ministries in incredible ways!

For Our Ministry
Pray that the Gospel is proclaimed boldly, clearly, and often. Pray that the good news of God’s grace would be received and trusted. Pray for revival to come to Fusion and Thrive.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- Pray for endurance and strength.
- Not being so nervous about high school and trying to enjoy it.
- To connect with old friends and bring them to Thrive. For God to mentally prepare me for high school.
- I have a friend who is really scared of high school because of bullying and I want God to help them through it.
