Welcome! You have been invited to follow this blog by either a student or leader of Salem First Baptist's Student Ministries. We are so glad you are here! It has been on our heart to have God move through our students in a big way, and we know that the main way to get that done is by having a body of believers praying for us constantly. Our goal with this blog is to keep you informed and up-to-date on prayer requests we have within our ministry, whether they be from an individual student or from the group as a whole. We want to thank you for your willingness to pray for us and the work God is already doing within the lives of our students.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Student
We took a week off from Thrive and Fusion for Spring Break. Pray that students would feel real rest this week. Pray for the decisions they make when they have so much free time. We also took this week as an opportunity to have some informal hang outs, pray that as students and leaders come together that the bonds between them would strength, and the Lord would use this time just as much as we see Him working on Tuesday nights. Pray over the conversations that happen there. As we lead in to Easter, pray for those who do not yet know the Lord as their personal Savior. Pray they would come to church Sunday and here the good news that He offers! Pray for soft hearts and an understanding of His word.

For Our Ministry
Pray that the Gospel is proclaimed boldly, clearly, and often. Pray that the good news of God’s grace would be received and trusted. Pray for revival to come to Fusion and Thrive.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
 - That my brother would come back to God.
- I’ve made some bad decisions lately and I’ve missed youth group for the last few months. I’ve hurt some people and I’ve been hurt and I’ve been really sad. Please pray for me to focus on God and the important things in life and not try to wear a mask or make my own happiness.
- Trying to keep up with homework but also keeping in touch with God. Being able to bring others to God. Being more connected to God.
- Be joyful, be strong through temptation, know how to help people in my life, know when to help them, know when they call and help lift them up again.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. Pray over their week, family life, friendships, and character.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

This week we wrapped up our series on Choosing Joy talking about how above all else, God is good; highlighting Psalm 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Pray that as we go into Spring Break that our students would have opportunities to experience a joy that only comes from their Heavenly Father. Pray against any struggles they might face, or bad attitudes that would get in the way of rejoicing. Pray as they rest and recover from school that God would give them endurance for the rest of the school year.

For Our Ministry
Pray that student-leader relationships would grow as they do life together to mature in and for the glory of Christ.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- I need prayer for decisions regarding college and the future. I have two paths right now and I' not sure what I should do.
- Pray that I can stay strong in my decisions so that people will see God through me.
- I have a hard time giving my dad the respect God tells me to give him. Also that I would be a better example to my siblings.
- Wisdom in relationships, building reverence for God. To have joy and be a servant.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. These are the names of our students who don't know the Lord. Pray for their salvations, that God would continually be pursuing each of them.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

This week we continued our series on Choosing Joy - but this week we focused on trials. Pray that as ours students experience trials that will come their way, they will be strengthened in their faith and press into the Lord. Pray that this will lead them to spiritual maturity. But against anger and bitterness amidst trails - Pray that Satan would not have a foothold in their lives.

For Our Ministry
Pray that students and leaders would depend on prayer for their direction, life, and purpose, that apart from Him we can do nothing. Pray we would boldly come to the throne of grace to seek God to do more then we could possibly ask or imagine. Pray that we would trust God is good, hears us, and responds.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- My relationship with my dad
- My sister still isn’t a follower of Christ and I think and pray about her every day.
- To allow myself to fully submit to God’s will and go down the road he wants me to go. To help become less arrogant and to be able to serve others more.
- Pray for my relationship with God. I feel like I am having doubts and just don’t know how to feel right now. Pray for me to get out of my head. Pray for my mom.
- Pray that God helps me know what I am supposed to choose and guides me to where I’m supposed to be.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students
This week in our series about Joy we talked about contentment. Pray our students would see the relationship between joy and contentment - that they would see that contentment is not based on circumstances. Pray they see and know that joy and contentment come from Christ's power and provision.

For Our Ministry
Pray that the light of the church and the heart of the family would continually come together to reach and raise the next generation in Christ Jesus

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- I have a lot of anxiety and I don’t know the source. I’m stressed out by too many things. I have doubt in my faith and its eating my heart. I want to be a selfless person but I’m not. I want to be a kind and caring person who has solutions but I’m stuck. People who have it way worse than me and let me have love and empathy for them.
- Pray for me to be joyful, for my stress to go away, for all the things I am involved in at school.
- I could have an opportunity to share the Gospel with friends and peers.
- Continue to pray for an open heart to get rid of my doubts about trusting God. Know that He has a plan and I must trust Him.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. These are the names of our students who don't know the Lord. Pray for their salvations, that God would continually be pursuing each of them.
