Welcome! You have been invited to follow this blog by either a student or leader of Salem First Baptist's Student Ministries. We are so glad you are here! It has been on our heart to have God move through our students in a big way, and we know that the main way to get that done is by having a body of believers praying for us constantly. Our goal with this blog is to keep you informed and up-to-date on prayer requests we have within our ministry, whether they be from an individual student or from the group as a whole. We want to thank you for your willingness to pray for us and the work God is already doing within the lives of our students.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

This week we continued in our series "Our Father" - we focused on the phrase "give us each day our daily bread". Pray that our students see God as a good and perfect provider - that they would trust Him with their wants and needs. Pray they would continue to align their desires with God's desires. Pray that they would be dependent on Jesus for their needs. Pray that they each know that He hears, He cares and that He is involved, even when they can't see or feel it.

For Our Ministry
Pray that our students and leaders would experience the joy of Christ as they worship Him in word and deed. Pray that with thanksgiving in our hearts we would reflect Jesus in all we say and do.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- For joy, rest, strength in temptation, not being easily angered. My friend I never thought would come to Thrive came to triple get night! Yay! That I would focus on others.
- I pray that I continue to build/grow in all of my relationships, including friendships, family relationships and my relationship with God.
- Pray that I can continue to be strong in the Word and start reading it – not just doing devotionals. Pray that I can be strong and wise in my relationships and that they will be pleasing to God. Pray I can get my friend to come to Thrive and for God to open her heart.
- Help me do well in school and to have my mom go back to church.
- I’ve been extremely tired lately; please pray that I have more energy.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. Pray over their week, family life, friendships, and character.
