Welcome! You have been invited to follow this blog by either a student or leader of Salem First Baptist's Student Ministries. We are so glad you are here! It has been on our heart to have God move through our students in a big way, and we know that the main way to get that done is by having a body of believers praying for us constantly. Our goal with this blog is to keep you informed and up-to-date on prayer requests we have within our ministry, whether they be from an individual student or from the group as a whole. We want to thank you for your willingness to pray for us and the work God is already doing within the lives of our students.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

We had our last mid-week meetings for Thrive and Fusion this week. We ended the year with a celebration! One girl put her faith in Jesus at H20, so we got to celebrate her putting her light bulb into the wall!

Pray for August, as we as a leadership team take time off to recharge and rest for the upcoming school year. Pray for Pastor Brian and Pastor Patrick as they work on the teaching schedules and events coming up, that the Lord would be leading them. Pray for the upcoming school year, and for the students that will be coming. Pray for our students, that they would not be idle during this month, that even though we don't have our mid-week meetings they would still be challenged and be growing in their walk with the Lord.

For Our Ministry
Pray that student-leader relationships would grow as they do life together to mature in and for the glory of Christ.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- My friend just left for Columbia to be a missionary teacher. Pray for her safety.
- That I will spend more time with God.
- That I will have patience in waiting and trust in God's timing.
- Help me focus on God.
- Pray for me to find intentional time in the mornings over this month; to trust God in my sadness.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. Pray over their week, family life, friendships, and character.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

This week we continued our series on friends - mainly focusing on how can I help my friends in their relationships with God? Pray as our students spur on their Christian friends, that it would grow their relationships deeper. Pray for accountability to happen. Pray that they will risk speaking truth to their friends in love. Pray they have Proverbs 27:17 friendships, that they are able to sharpen each other.

For Our Ministry
Pray that our students and leaders would experience the joy of Christ as they worship Him in word and deed. Pray that with thanksgiving in our hearts we would reflect Jesus in all we say and do.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
- Pray for our family as we get ready to move to another country. Pray for safe travels.
- I have really low self - esteem. Pray that I can see myself the way God does.
- I have a friend who has questions about God and homosexuality. Pray I can answer her questions well.
- Pray I can grow in my relationship with Christ.
- That people in my life would get along.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. Pray over their week, family life, friendships, and character.

PRAYERS OF THE WEEK:
For Our Students

We continued this week with our series on Friendship - this week we focused on choosing friends. Pray that as our students wrestle with their friendships that it will be made known to them who in their life is leading them down paths that might not be good. Pray that they choose friends who will encourage them and challenge them to make wise decisions.

For Our Ministry
Pray that the light of the church and the heart of the family would continually come together to reach and raise the next generation in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM OUR STUDENTS:
 - I’m working on giving God my life and trusting Him complete and always.
I’m not sure I’ve just been irritated lately and caught up in things a lot from my past and they are affecting me. I just feel a bit lost at the moment.
- Pray for my relationship with God and that I’ll make new friends and be bold to tell my friends and family about Christ.
- Pray that my relationships with others would be purposeful, that I would have Christ-like attitude among them.

STUDENTS IN OUR MINISTRY:
Please take a moment to pray for these students individually. Pray over their week, family life, friendships, and character.
